We haven't seen a 1968 El Camino all year long, but Case M is here to change that. Meanwhile, the new Tang Orange does a much better job at highlighting the futuristic design cues of the Swedish-built megacar. The original Iron Gray paint job felt a bit dull. On the topic of Fantasy cars, the new 2022 Layin' Lowrider is now available in a different color as well.Īnd the same goes for the Koenigsegg Gemera. Hot Wheels labels this as a futuristic buggy, and it might work for kids at least.
What else can you ask for? If you happen to be a Fantasy car enthusiast, then you'll also be happy to see the brand new Lightnin' Bug. You don't get to see drift-ready station wagons that often, and it also has two more exciting attributes: the new J3 Japanese 3-spoke, Super Advan-inspired wheels and the transparent hood with an RB26DET engine inside. The Nissan Maxima Drift Car is bound to be a hit, especially after collectors have been waiting for it for a few months now. One of the most exciting cars in Case M has to be the 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Gasser! "Mad Mouse" is part of the HW Drag Strip series, and it also happens to be a brand new casting for 2022. And if you don't like spending extra cash on the more exclusive Hot Wheels sets, it has been a while since we've last seen the 2JZ-powered sports car around. It's always exciting to see a 1/64 scale of a Toyota Supra MK IV.īelieve it or not, this casting is less than a decade old. We're not going to talk about all the cars that were also featured in the previous case, but you should rest assured that you will be able to easily find your favorite ones in stores soon. Either way, it's still more appealing than some of the other TH models of 2022. This is quite a new casting for Mattel, as it was first launched in 2020. I had much more fun with Cruis'n Blast. You might not be as impressed with the TH this time, as it's a fantasy car: the HW Warp Speeder. I'm probably going to forget about the game when Forza Horizon 5 launches. Personally I'd give Hot Wheels Unleashed a score of 6 out of 10. The track editor is a complete failure simply because you can't browse for tracks and There's no curated selection of events with user created content, like in Dirt 5 for example. I like that people vote for the short tracks to get coins faster just because progression is so slow. The Fiat is also great if the course has a lot of corners. I'm destroying those time trials with the upgraded KITT.
The campaign mode is super boring, I actually prefer the time trials to the races, even though traps like the spider are incredibly annoying in these events. I also got the Fiat and a Rodger Dodger in Super Treasure Hunt variants. I bought KITT and unlocked a legendary Street Wiener, as well as an Audi Quattro. I haven't unlocked any of the cars I actually really want in my collection. I've unlocked the COPO Camarao 5 times now, I've unlocked several duplicastes in a row. The game progression makes no sense if the devs aren't thinking about adding microtransactions to buy coins at a later date.
